Burglars nabbed

The Meerpet police apprehended two persons for burgling houses and recovered 45 tolas of gold and sliver ornaments from their possession. The accused were identified as G. Sudhakar (28), labourer and autorickshaw driver, and Syed Mahboob (26), an autorickshaw driver. The third accused, Syed Zahed (22), also an autorickshaw driver is absconding. The police said the accused used to recce neighbourhoods in their autorickshaws. They used to look for homes which were locked. Once the target house was identified, the duo would go to these homes at night and break into them. They then proceed to break open almirahs and cupboards and take away jewellery, electronic goods and other items. Apart from gold and silver ornaments, cops recovered a Nikon camera, two television sets, two daggers and ₹7 lakh from their possession.
