Suriya-starrer Singam which has grown into a franchise with three films, has been remade in other languages such as Kannada (Kempe Gowda), Bengali (Shotru) and Hindi (Singham). It’s now known that the film is also going to be made in Punjabi. Starring Parmish Verma in the lead, the film is to be presented by Ajay Devgn who starred in the Hindi version of the film.

Ajay announced on his birthday on Monday that the film will be produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak. Parmish Verma, too, took it to his Instagram page and said that it was an honour to star in the Bollywood and South Indian blockbuster. While the rest of the cast and crew are yet to be finalised, the film is scheduled to be released in 2019.
