TMC opposes cabinet decision on closure of Burn Standard Company

Opposing the cabinet decision, the TMC has said that they have already submitted notices in both Houses of Parliament.

"TMC strongly opposes the cabinet decision on Burn Standard. We have submitted notices in the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha against the decision," the TMC statement said.

The ruling along with the opposition Left Front and the had earlier passed a resolution in the Assembly condemning the Centre's move to disinvest various PSUs, including the Burn Standard.

The legislature party, however, had opposed it, saying the state government should stop politicising every issue just to score political brownie points.
