SAAP asked to conduct leagues in villages

Special Chief Secretary of Sports and Youth Services L. V. Subrahmanyam on Tuesday exhorted the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh to conducted SAAP leagues in all the villages and wanted meetings with sports associations in the districts for the successful implementation of the project.

Speaking at a coordination meeting, he asked the officials to complete the Keerada Vikas Kendras (KVK) in the villages in time. In the districts where there were land disputes, he asked them to contact their higher-ups for speedy redressal.

He advised the district-level officers to take the help of the international players in their region for the promotion of sports among youngsters. “Efforts should be made to bring more youngsters to sports,” he said.

He asked the coaches to follow the key performance indicators . He added that the performance of the coaches would soon be assessed online.

Youth Services Commissioner Komal Kishore, SAAP Managing Director N Bangara Raju, coaches and administrators from 13 districts were present.
