Revealed: Why Janhvi Kapoor Lost ‘Simmba’ To Sara!

New Bee Sara Ali Khan has been signed in for Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’ opposite Ranveer Singh but do you know what Janhvi Kapoor was also in the race for this role.

Simmba which is the Hindi remake of Telugu super-hit film ‘Temper’, which starred   Jr NTR and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. This Hindi adaptation is slated to release on 28 December 2018.

As per the reports ‘Janhvi was the first choice to play the female lead opposite Ranveer Singh. But it seems like, Janhvi got too excited and let it slip that she was in talks for the film, even though she was yet to sign the dotted line. The makers of Simmba were not too amused and buzz is that this is what made Janhvi lose out to Sara.’

Evidently, Janhvi was not comfortable in singing a film opposite a biggie  like Ranveer, as she felt that he would inevitably be given more screen time and prominence. But now Janhvi’s loss is Sara’s gain.

Simmba marks the collaboration of Ace directors Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty.
