Mentha oil futures slip 1.12% on profit-booking

futures moved down by 1.12 per cent to Rs 1,295.50 per kg in futures market today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amid fall in demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha for delivery in May drifted lower by Rs 14.70, or 1.12 per cent, to Rs 1,295.50 per kg in business turnover of 51 lots.

Similarly, the for delivery in April contracts was trading lower by Rs 12.70, or 0.89 per cent, to Rs 1,413 per kg in 301 lots.

Analysts said besides profit-booking by participants, fall in demand from consuming industries in spot market against ample stocks position weighed on futures.
