An Indian national has died after he was run over by a speeding car, being driven by a teenager in Al Fujairah, police said today.
The incident happened last evening in which the 25-year-old Indian worker was killed as his skull was severely damaged, deputy police chief of Al Fujairah Police, Brig Mohammed Rashid bin Naee Al Tunaiji was quoted as saying by the Khaleej Times.
Al Fujairah is one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates, and the only one of the seven that has a coastline solely on the Gulf of Oman and none on the Persian Gulf.
"As soon as our operations room received the call about the accident, an ambulance and traffic police team were rushed to the site," said Brig Mohammed Rashid bin Naee Al Tunaiji, deputy police chief of Al Fujairah Police.
The body has been shifted to a morgue of the Debbah Al Fujairah Hospital and the Emirati teen was arrested.
