Police, hostage get compensation in aftermath of Mosman Park siege
A hostage and two police officers who shot a man during a siege in Perth almost three years ago, leaving him a paraplegic, have been awarded a total of almost $57,000 in compensation.
The normally peaceful Mosman Park street was thrown into chaos by the siege.
Photo: Emma YoungDaniel John Ashley burst into the Mosman Park property in June 2015, armed with weapons including a replica gun and a baton, taking his ex-girlfriend and four other people hostage before police shot him in the torso and face.
Daniel Ashley pleaded guilty to a number of offences relating to the 2015 siege.
