Select copra rally on persistent demand

office Alappuzha, office Kozhikode, Rajapur and edible prices rallied at the spices market here following persistent demand from stockists and retailers amid good export offtake.

Other spices ruled stable in absence of any other large-scale buying activity.

Rajapur climbed by Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 18,500 from Monday's closing level of Rs 18,000.

office and edible prices rose by Rs 300 per quintal each to Rs 14,000 and Rs 16,500 as against Rs 13,700 and Rs 16,200 previously.

office Kozhikode moved up by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 13,700 as compared to Rs 13,500 previously.

Black pepper (per kg) 390/450 (390/450), ginger unbleached (per kg) 125 (125), office (per quintal) 14,000 (13,700), office Kozhikode (per quintal) 13,700 (13,500), Rajapur (per quintal) 18,500 (18,000), edible (per quintal) 16,500 (16,200).
