Army man killed in anti-militancy operation cremated

The mortal remains of Arvinder Kumar, an who was killed during an anti-militancy operation in and Kashmir's district, were today consigned to flames with full military honours at his native Sariana village, about 65 km from here.

His brother lit the pyre.

Kumar joined the on June 26, 2012.

He, along with Sepoy Hetram and Nilesh Singh, suffered critical bullet injuries in a gun battle with terrorists in Kachedoora in district. He died later in a hospital.

MLA Rajnish Kumar Babbi, Vipul Ujjwal, Senior of Police J Elanchezhian paid floral tributes to Kumar.

Kumar is survived by his parents, four elder sisters and a brother.
