Britons recently took to Twitter and directed messages at London Mayor Sadiq Khan - they stated that it was time for him to “stop people dying”.
Earlier the Labour politician had stated: “Tory police cuts have already cost London thousands of police officers and staff, most of our police station front counters and police buildings.
“It’s time for the Government to stop misleading the public and properly fund the police.”
However, his words were met with fury.
One user stated: “Time for you to stop young people dying and encourage effective and fair stop and search #onyourwatch.”
Another declared: “You are absolutely shameless, rather than pointing fingers actions might help. You really are a stain on this country’s capital.”
Another fumed: “All you have done is blame everyone and everything else. You are the mayor and you control the budget. 12 people dead in 19 days in London!”
