Disqualification of MLAs: Hearing deferred

BENGALURU: The Karnataka High Court on Monday adjourned the hearing of a petition seeking disqualification of seven JD(S) rebel MLAs to April 11. Justice Raghvendra S Chauhan adjourned the hearing after the counsel of the petitioners argued that the petition still survived for consideration as it would have wider ramifications. The petitioners C N Balakrishna and B B Ningaiah prayed before the court to disqualify the rebel MLAs as they had voted against the whip issued by the party in 2016 Rajya Sabha elections
