John Prescott's son could become Labour MP in SECRET PLOT despite misconduct investigation
THE SON of former Deputy Prime minister, John Prescott, could be about to be made a Labour MP despite being the subject of misconduct investigations, it has been reported.
GETTY
David Prescott, who currently serves as a personal aide to Jeremy Corbyn, could be about to be given the chance to run for Parliament in a Labour safe seat.
The Labour aide has spectacularly failed to be elected to Parliament a number of times and could now be given the chance to enter as a matter of almost mere procedure in a by-election.
Mr Corbyn’s aide was also one of the 12 senior Labour members found to be a part of online social media groups that were sharing horrific anti-Semitic comments.
He has insisted he was unaware of any offensive material being shared.
The plans to help give him a seat in Parliament also come just months after Prescott junior was briefly suspended by the party for alleged misconduct in Westminster.
It is understood that the claims came to light following recent reporting of alleged misconduct at Westminster involving allegations of sexual harassment.
At the time a Labour spokeswoman initially said: "We do not comment on staffing matters."
They later added: “The party takes all complaints of sexual harassment, abuse and discrimination extremely seriously.
“We ask that anyone with a complaint comes forward so that allegations can be properly investigated.
“When evidence of misconduct comes to light, all appropriate disciplinary action is taken in line with the party’s rule book and procedures.”
Supporters of Corbyn from the hard left group Momentum are believed to be plotting to force Labour moderate Dan Jarvis to stand down from his Barnsley Central seat.

The politician has been selected to stand as Labour’s candidate for Sheffield Mayor and some in the labour party have argued he cannot take up the role while remaining an MP.
Mr Jarvis represents a Labour safe seat and currently has a majority of 15,500, meaning any by-election would almost certainly see Corbyn’s candidate win.
John Prescott served as the MP for Hull East between 1970 and 2010.
He was Deputy Prime Minister while Tony Blair was leader of the Labour Party.
