Euclid and state Fire Marshal investigators have ruled an April 2 fire at 316 E. 255th St. was intentionally set.
The Euclid Fire Department received a call around 6:46 p.m. of smoke coming from the two-story home as three people were seen leaving the premises. Fourteen Euclid firefighters responded to the fire, and upon arrival they found thick smoke coming from the attached garage. There were no injuries and the fire damage was limited to the garage, but the home was deemed uninhabitable by the Euclid Housing Department.
Fire damage to the home is estimated at $10,000, according to the fire department.
The investigation into the arson is ongoing, but anyone with information is asked to contact the Ohio Fire Marshal tip line at 800-589-2728 or CrimeStoppers at 216-252-7463. Up to $7,500 in reward money is available for information that leads to a conviction.
