BHOJPUR: Two persons have died from electric shock in Dhankuta Municipality-1 of Dhankuta district on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as locals Gopal Budhathoki (35) and Nima Sherpa (42), according to Province 1 Police Office, Biratnagar.
The incident occurred when the pillar of an under-construction house they were working on came in contact with the electricity transmission line. They were electrocuted with 220 volts of electricity at around 4:00 pm on Monday, said police.
Critically injured Budhathoki and Sherpa breathed their last at 5:00 pm on the same day, during the course of treatment at Dhankuta District Hospital, informed police.
