KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives today approved two ordinances related to National Assembly Member Election-2074 BS and National Medical Education-2074 BS.

These ordinances were approved unanimously after they were tabled in the meeting, seeking approval of house, by Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa and Health Minister Giriraj Mani Pokharel respectively.

The meeting also rejected lawmaker Prem Suwal’s objection over the medical education ordinance. Lawmaker Suwal had stated that the ordinance included discriminatory provisions and therefore it should not be approved.

However, Health Minister Giriraj Mani Pokharel said that the ordinance was not brought abruptly but after a long discussion was held in the parliament to organise the medical education in the country.
