Two Lakeland Community College baseball players and a softball player earned Ohio Community College Athletic Conference player of the week honors April 3.
• Luis Padron, a second baseman/shortstop, was named the conference Position Player of the Week.
The Miami, Fla., native batted .625 (5-for-8) in two wins last week and had three RBI and scored three runs. He had two doubles, a triple and two stolen bases.
• Hudson Widrig was named the OCCAC Pitcher of the Week after he earned the victory in the Lakers’ 12-2 win over Clark State. He threw a five-inning complete game with seven strikeouts and no walks.
• In softball, Kallista Hribar was the OCCAC Position Player of the Week after she posted nine hits in four games. The Sturtevent, Wis., native batted .643 (9-for-14) with three doubles and two RBI in Lakeland’s 3-1 week. Hribar also stole six bases and scored six runs.
