'GTA Online' Adds Target Assault Races and Vapid Caracara
GTA Online continues to add new content, and the latest upgrade includes a new race mode, truck and more. There are also new items on sale, ways to earn extra cash and new premium races to tackle.
The new game mode is called Target Assault. This race type pairs racers into teams of two, with one player behind the wheel of a truck and the other manning a mounted gun on the back. In the mode, players must race and shoot their way into first place. Watch out, because players switch between driving and shooting on every lap.
While it seems like this race is a straightforward deathrace, Target Assault is actually more about players scoring points by shooting targets, with the most points being rewarded for accuracy. Even if you’re the first team around the track, you might not win if your gunner isn’t scoring points. There are seven different tracks for Target Assault races.
To go along with Target Assault races, the new Vapid Caracara is a truck with a mounted gun in the back. This vehicle is one of the options players can pick from when competing in Target Assault races and is available to purchase from Warstock Cache & Carry.
