Liverpool news: Moreno reveals one key reason Man City will beat Reds in Champions League
LIVERPOOL will not be able to keep up their high defensive press for both legs of their Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City.
That is according to ESPN FC pundit and ex-Major League Soccer star Alejandro Moreno.
Liverpool host Manchester City in the first-leg of the quarter-final clash on Wednesday.
Jurgen Klopp’s side remain the only team to have beaten City in the Premier League this season.
The Reds won 4-3 when the two teams met on Merseyside in January.

I think Manchester City is too good for Liverpool over two legs
On that day, Liverpool’s press stifled City for the majority of the game before two late goals made it a nervy finish for the hosts.
But Moreno cannot see the Reds keeping it up over two legs and is expecting City to come out on top.
“You look at Manchester City, and as Liverpool are going to press them I expect that (Pep) Guardiola would be telling his team ‘listen, the way that they beat us was to be in our faces and we were not able to break through that pressure’,” Moreno said.
“Now, the flip side of that is that if Manchester City are able to break through that initial pressure, then Liverpool are all over the place defensively.

“And now you have to depend on the guys in the back line to cover Manchester City and their talented players; I don’t know that that happens.
“They key for me is going to be in that first third of the field where Manchester City is going to have to break through that pressure, pass out of that pressure and from there allow the talented players to take over.
