Bharat Bandh: 9 Died Across The Country And Several Arrested!

India had faced nationwide ‘bandh’ yesterday as SC\ST came on the rods to protest against alleged dilution.

Bharat Bandh: Dalit organisations protests turned violent in several parts of India

This protest was headed by various Dalit organisations and this protest turned into violent riot killing 9 people across the nation. These victims hailed from Rajasthan (1), Uttar Pradesh (2) and Madhya Pradesh (6).

During the protest, railway services in cities like Meerut, Jharkhand, Ajmer, Alwar, Jaipur were disturbed. Yesterday only the government sent a review plea in the Supreme Court.

Incidents like vandalism, firing, anti-riots and arson took place across the country. The Union Home Ministry had sent 800 anti-riot police personnel to Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh to maintain the peace and law.

Meanwhile in Punjab, the bandh was almost on its peak! Bus services, educational institutions were shut down, mobile internet services were banned until 11 pm Monday, bringing Punjab to a pause.

Chief Minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh requested the public and neighboring states and to stay on high alert.
