Amit Shah on two-day Odisha visit from Wednesday

NEW DELHI: BJP president Amit Shah will be on a two-day visit to Odisha starting on Wednesday during which he will take part in various events organised by the party.


During his visit, Amit Shah will address a public meeting at Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district and a Yuva Maha Samavesh in Balangir district.

He will also attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of the party office in Balangir district, the party said in a statement.


Amit Shah is also scheduled to hold meetings with BJP's state 'vistaraks', core-group district in-charges, district presidents, state morcha general secretaries along with other office bearers of the party in the state.


BJP's MLAs in the state will also meet the party chief.


Shah will visit a few villages, including Saintala and Degaon in Balangir district.


BJP has emerged as the strongest challenger to the ruling BJD in the state in the last few years replacing the Congress.
