Security stepped up at DMK chief’s house

Security has been stepped up at the houses of DMK president M. Karunanidhi at Gopalapuram and his son and party working president M.K. Stalin’s residence at Alwarpet.

Around midnight on Sunday, the city police control room received a phone call from a person who said that he was standing outside the residence of Mr. Stalin and was going to throw a bomb inside.

Traced to Kancheepuram

The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad team rushed to the houses of both the leaders and also conducted a check.

The police later traced the call to Kancheepuram. “We are trying to nab the caller,” an officer said.
