ADGP’s daughter lodges complaint

A daughter of an Additional Director-General of Police has complained about the alleged excesses committed by a police constable who was on duty when she visited the Palavakkam beach. The video footage of the woman and her friends having a heated argument with the police personnel on the beach went viral on social media.

The constable, who was on duty at the beach, attempted to check the vehicle in which the woman was travelling.

He was also shooting a video, which the occupants of the car strongly objected to.

Officials said the constable was drunk and had threatened the people in the car for money.
