COLOMBO (News 1st) – Ports and Shipping Deputy Minister Nishantha Muthuhettigamage says if Ranil Wickremesinghe resigns from his office, the no-confidence motion will be withdrawn.

He made the above comment yesterday (03 April), after a SLFP parliamentary member meeting held with President Sirisena at his official residence.

The Joint Opposition in Parliament handed over the no-confidence motion to Speaker Karu Jayasuriya on March 21, and it will be taken up for debate tomorrow (April 04).
