Army's Western Command to train soldiers' kin in self-defence

The has taken the initiative of imparting self-defence training to the families of serving personnel.

"The step has been taken in view of the recent attacks on army camps of Sunjuwan and Nagrota (in J&K) where the families of serving personnel became soft targets for the militants," an official release said here today.

"The (the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers) unit at Chandimandir organised a training session, where trained professionals from a martial art academy demonstrated self-defence skills to women and children of the soldiers," it said.
