2018 Tahoe Custom Midnight has Tough Looks, Approachable Price

The 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe Custom Midnight has been detailed, bringing tough, blacked-out looks to the Tahoe lineup at a relatively low price of $46,000.

The Tahoe Custom Midnight is based on the LS trim level for the Tahoe. It gets some exclusive equipment over the standard LS trim in the way of 18-inch black painted wheels wrapped in knobby Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, a black grille, off-road side assist steps and black Chevy bowtie emblems. General Motors has also removed the third-row seat, increasing utility and adding an extra 54 cubic feet of cargo space.

Apart from the blacked out exterior add-ons, the Tahoe Custom Midnight is otherwise identical to a Tahoe LS. The base engine is a 5.3-liter LS V8, which can be paired with 2WD or 4WD. Also standard is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-inch color touchscreen, OnStar 4G LTE Wi Fi, a rear view camera, remote start, five USB outlets and five power outlets. There’s an available Enhanced Driver Alert Package as well, which adds things like Forward Collision Alert, IntelliBeam headlamps with automatic high-beam control, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning and Low Speed Forward Automatic Braking.

The 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe Custom Midnight has been priced from $45,995 including $1,295 in destination fees. It will arrive at Chevy dealers this spring.
