The gift items that were seized from a house in Lakshmidevinagar on Sunday

BENGALURU: North division police, along with electoral officers, raided a house at Laggere and seized sarees and gift items with posters of Rajarajeshwarinagar MLA Muniratna. Police detained a few of Muniratna’s followers. Based on an alert from a sector magistrate, the team raided a house in Lakshmidevinagar and seized 90 pressure cookers and 360 sarees.

A case has been filed against a person who had rented the house but is still at large. It is suspected that the goods were to be distributed among voters. MLA Muniratna said, "Some locals pasted my photos on the goods with other MLAs and MPs. I do not have any connection with stocking materials and police did not approach me for my statement.”
