Low-speed mobile Internet services were restored in the Valley today, except in south Kashmir districts, after remaining suspended since yesterday in the wake of counter-militancy operations.
"Low-speed mobile internet (2G) services have been restored in the valley, except in four districts of South Kashmir," a police official said.
He said the services were restored in Srinagar and other districts following improvement in the situation.
However, the high-speed mobile internet facility continued to remain barred across the Valley, he said.
The mobile internet services were snapped yesterday across the Kashmir valley as a precautionary measure in the wake of the killing of 13 militants and four civilians in three encounters in south Kashmir with security forces.
