Dr. Howard Steinman will begin treating patients at U.S. Dermatology Partners' Grapevine office on April 3rd. He will also serve the Sherman office. Dr. Steinman is a leading expert in the field of Mohs surgery, specializing in the treatment of basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and more complicated skin cancer cases.
Dr. Steinman earned his Doctor of Medicine from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of California at San Diego, and his Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatological surgery fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has practiced in San Diego; Temple, Texas; and most recently in Irving, Texas.
Dr. Steinman has co-authored two Mohs surgery textbooks as well as 12 textbook chapters. He co-directs an annual course in Mohs surgery and frequently lectures in the United States, Europe and Australia.
He is passionate about patient care and mentoring fellow physicians. “As a skin cancer surgeon and cancer survivor, I know how important it is for every patient to have an informed, personalized, caring, safe and comfortable surgical experience,” says Dr. Steinman.
