    The Centre will file a petition in the Supreme Court today, seeking review of the judgment diluting the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989. The government is likely to tell the top court that the order banning automatic arrest and registration of cases for alleged harassment of SCs/STs will dilute a law aimed at protecting the marginalised.
