From 7 to 11 March 2018, over a period of five days, during ITB Berlin 2018, more than 10,000 companies and organisations from 186 countries and regions exhibited their products to visitors in 26 halls on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.

Tourism in Turkey is focused largely on a variety of historical sites, and on seaside resorts along its Aegean and Mediterranean Sea coasts. 2017 was a remarkable year for the Sharjah’s tourism sector, with Europe visitors staying at Sharjah’s hotels, up 36.1% over 2016.

Qatar Airways has opened 11 new destinations in the past year, with more to come in 2018/19, said Qatar Airways CEO and President, Akbar Al Baker at an ITB Berlin press conference.
Munich Airport’s growth continued in 2017 with new traffic records in several categories. Passenger traffic increased by 2.3 million to a new all-time high of 44.6 million. This was a 5.5% gain over the 2016 figure.
While African tourism has recorded overall growth over the last three years, the Middle East nally was back on track with total arrivals to the region up by 5% in 2017. It’s a sign that a strong recovery is underway following three years of sharp contraction in North Africa and two years of stagnation for the Middle East.
With Malaysia named as Official ITB Partner Country 2019, the nation already hosted a colourful, exciting booth at this year’s event.
That Kenya is ready for business, the operational environment is conducive with improved infrastructure, investment opportunities, incentives and support programmes, and above all the warmth of the Kenyan People.
The economic growth of Dominican Republic is influenced enormously by the tourism. 2017 the country had 6.2 million guests, 265,398 out of Germany, an increase of 2,35%. This represents 35% of the entire economy of the Dominican Republic. Currently they provide 80,000 Rooms to their guests.
ITB Berlin Convention devoted itself to a number of topics, including overtourism, revolutionary forms of transport for business and private travel, plus the challenges of and future prospects for artificial intelligence in the travel sector.
The investments made in the country for the mega-events cycle – Confederations Cup, World Cup and Olympic Games – were decisive for Brazil to jump in the World Economic Forum’s Competitive Travel and Tourism Ranking from 51st in 2013 to 27th – in just four years.
For 12 months of the year, visitors to the Free State can find exciting products and experiences that offer value for money, and that appeal to families and outdoor enthusiasts as well as those looking for a touch of luxury.
