Twins miffed by Sisco's late bunt in O's blowout loss

Down 7-0 with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning Sunday, Baltimore's Chance Sisco bunted against the shift for just the second hit given up by Minnesota Twins starter Jose Berrios.

That left Berrios and teammate Brian Dozier a little angry at the Orioles' catcher.

"I don't care if he's bunting. I just know it's not good for baseball in that situation. That's it," said Berrios, who worked out of a bases-loaded jam afterward to finish with a three-hit shutout.

Dozier was a little more direct.

"I could've said something, but they have tremendous veteran leadership over there, with Chris Davis, Adam Jones and those guys," Dozier said. "I'm sure they'll address it and move forward."

Sisco, who had the Orioles' only hit to that point, was defensive about breaking one of baseball's "unwritten rules."

"They were playing the shift right there, so they kind of gave it to me," Sisco said. "If they're going to shift, I have to take it right there in that spot. We got bases loaded right after that. We're a couple home runs away from tying the game -- bases loaded, (Jones) or (Jonathan Schoop) hits a home run right there? We're a couple runs away from being back in that game."

After the Orioles loaded the bases, Schoop fouled out and Jones struck out swinging.
