After Alvaro Morata had given Chelsea the lead at Stamford Bridge, Eriksen drew Tottenham level just before half time.
The Denmark international let fly with a powerful, dipping shot from more than 25 yards out.
Chelsea goalkeeper Caballero was helpless, as the ball flew over his head and into the net via the cross bar.
But Nicol cannot understand why the Argentina goalkeeper ended up on the floor after the goal.
The ball has to rise to dip, so if the ball’s rising, why are you sitting on your backside? I just can’t get my head around it
“I’m not a goalkeeper but think about what you just said,” Nicol said on ESPN FC.
“You said it dipped enormously, so why is he going down? Why is he ending up on his backside?

“It’s a fantastic strike no question and Willy Caballero could have been standing on his line and stayed on his line with his hands up and it was just maybe too quick.
“But the fact that he ends up on his backside, it’s just weird to me.”
A second-half brace from Dele Alli gave Tottenham their first win at Stamford Bridge since 1990.
