3 held, sent to 2 day police custody

Three people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) paper leak case and have been sent to two day police custody, police said on Sunday.

‘Early this morning, two teachers and a tutor were arrested.They have been sent to two day Police custody and will be questioned,’ police said.

The accused have been identified as Rishabh and Rohit who work as teachers in school while third accused is Tauqueer who is a tutor and is around 26 year old.

According to police, the question paper was opened 30-40 minutes before the starting time by the two teachers who then sent it to Tauqeer, who further circulated it to his students on WhatsApp.

‘In case FIR No-88/18, dated 27-3-18, u/s 406,420,120-B IPC, PS Crime Branch (CBSC Paper Leak Case ), so far, three persons have been arrested,’ police said.

‘Tauqueer, aged 26 years, is a resident of JJ Colony, Bawana. He is a tuition teacher in Easy Classes Coaching Centre, Bawana. He used to circulate leaked question papers on the day of the examination about one hour prior to the commencement of the examination to his tuition student who further circulated to their friends. He used to get the leaked paper on his Whatsapp from two teachers namely Rishab and Rohit.

Rishabh , aged 29 years, is a Physics teacher in a school of outer Delhi while Rohit, 26 years , is a Maths teacher in the same school. They sent 12th Class Economics papers to Tauqueer via Whatsapp . Further investigation is in progress,’ police said.

‘CBSE is fully cooperating in this matter,’ police added.
The re-examination of Class 12th Economics exam will be held on April 25,Secondary Education Secretary Anil Swaroop on Friday said .

The Delhi Police on Thursday said that it has questioned 25 people, including 18 students, in connection with the alleged leakage of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 Math and Class 12 Economics papers.
