Proteas - The Bulls were given some good news on the injury front as they headed into their bye week knowing that their two lock injuries - RG Snyman and Lood de Jager - should have recovered by the time they return to Loftus Versfeld in a week’s time.

De Jager withdrew earlier last week with a calf strain while Snyman sustained a cheek fracture against the Crusaders and both are expected to resume training ahead of their showdown with the Sharks in Durban in a fortnight’s time, according to supersport.com website.

There was also good news that Nic de Jager should also have recovered from his injury by then, while the two players who withdrew before the game - Tim Agaba and Travis Ismaiel - are also expected to be available for selection.

“It is fortunate for us to report there are no new injury concerns after the Stormers game,” team doctor Herman Rossouw said.

“Tim Agaba withdrew on game day with tonsillitis, which seems to be getting better now and Travis Ismaiel withdrew because of a back niggle. He is making good progress and is already looking much better.

“Then the good news is RG Snyman, Lood de Jager and Nic de Jager. All three of them are making good progress and with this weekend’s bye, all three of them will be training with the squad when we return next week.”

The Bulls also had a bye in the opening week of the competition.
