Japan’s most famous festival during spring time is Cherry blossoms made most popular Easter tourist destination.
Tokyo, the capital of Japan is officially the most booked travel destination for Easter due to the Christian holiday aligning with cherry blossom season.
The cherry blossoms of the sakura trees began blooming March 17. It is expected to reach their highlight of the season March 25 — a few days before Easter.
The front runner for Easter destinations was Manila due to its large Christian population. The island country is known for having a world-renowned church service and street festivals for Easter. However, the beautiful pink trees in Japan allowed the country to edge out the competition.
Tokyo is set to have many Easter-related events Sunday. Chocolat de Easter, an organization dedicated to organizing Easter events in Japan, will create many Easter-related deserts.
The international tourists who are staying at The Grand Hyatt hotel can sample an Easter brunch. Sanrio Puroland, a Hello Kitty-themed amusement park, will also organize Easter-related events.
