Kerala Christians celebrate Easter

Christians across celebrated on Sunday to commemorate the Christ three days after he was crucified.

The people attended the mass where they drank wine and ate a slice of cake marking the end of Lent.

A traditional breakfast was prepared in Christian households which has dishes like 'appam', chicken stew, beef roast, duck curry, steamed bananas, egg curry and cake.

According to reports, liquor sales peak in during this period.

Of Kerala's 33.4 million population, Christians account for 61.41 lakhs.
