Second phase Congress Bus Yatra starts today

District Congress Committee (DCC) president Naini Rajender Reddy has appealed to people to turn up in large numbers to support the bus yatra undertaken by TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy in the district.

Addressing newsmen here on Saturday, Mr. Rajender Reddy said the second phase of bus yatra would begin on April 1 and conclude on April 10. It would cover Manthani, Bhupalpalli, Mulug, Venkatapuram, Mahabubabad, Dornakal, Hanamkonda and Station Ghanpur, among other Assembly constituencies.

Mr. Rajender Reddy and MLA Donthu Madhava Reddy said the bus yatra was aimed at explaining people how the TRS government was trying to hoodwink people promising heaven and earth. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who has been announcing populist schemes failed to deliver the same.

“Whenever the Opposition leaders questioned, the ruling party leaders blame Opposition and try to evade answer. There is only one side rhetoric. People are vexed with listening to KCR and his party leaders,” the Congress leaders said.

The Chief Minister ridiculed the Indiramma Housing programme and now announced double bedroom scheme. It had turned out as a mirage now. “How many double bedroom houses did this government give so far? Is there any hope for the poor in need of housing?” he asked. People of Telangana were regretting having voted the TRS to power and were now waiting to repay their gratitude to Congress party. The people still remember that it was Sonia Gandhi who gave separate Telangana. The party would also remind the same besides exposing the hollow promises of the ruling party in the state.

Congress leaders D. Sitakka, Vem Narender Reddy, Errabelli Swarna, Janga Raghava Reddy, Namindla Srinivas, E. Venkatrami Reddy, Katla Srinivasa Rao and others were present.
