It plans to reopen in May at its original location at 431 Main St., according to JoAnne Camp, manager and original founder.
“I still have the desire to have my business,” Camp said Friday. “I miss the customers. I love the challenge of a business. It just seems like the right thing to do at the right time.”
She decided to bring back the shop - it originally closed in 2013 after 27 years - even after her husband Alan passed away that year,
The new shop will have a “tea room” that will serve lunches and desserts, along with multiple shops that will sell home decor items, candles, decorating items and some clothing and jewelry.
Once it reopens, it plans to open a smaller restaurant as well with a smaller menu that what it previously offered.
“We will downsize to make it easier for me,” she said.
Renovations have been ongoing for approximately a month, Camp said.
“We’ve had a lot of positive feedback on it,” she said. “I think they remember it because of the quaint little town. I’ve always lived here. We raised our family here.”
Help managing the store will come from her children and grandchildren.
To start, hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
“With time, it might expand more but right now, that’s what I’m committing to,” Camp said.
