Odisha: Nandankanan zoo entry fee hiked

Bhubaneswar: The Nandankanan zoo increased the entry fee for adults to Rs 50 from Rs 40. The new tariff will be applicable from Sunday. This will help the zoo earn an additional annual revenue of Rs 2.75 crore.

Zoo deputy director Jayant Das said entry fee of the two other categories, children and foreigners, remains unchanged. "The hiked entry fee will be applicable from the first day of new fiscal year," he said.


In 2017-18, the zoo witnessed a footfall of 34.90 lakh visitors, one lakh up from 2016-17 fiscal. In 2017-18, the zoo earned Rs 14.20 crore. TNN
