Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone have tied the knot in quiet ceremony, say sources, day after reports of wedding date being fixed

Just a day after news reports stated that Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone had finalised their wedding for end of 2018, friends of the couple have revealed that the Padmaavat stars have already tied the knot in a quiet, secret ceremony.

Only the immediate families of both actors were present at the do, which took place at an undisclosed beach destination just weeks ago, we were told.

While reports on Saturday, 31 March 2018, claimed that the Padukone and Singh (Bhavnani) families had settled on four auspicious dates, between September and December of this year, for Ranveer and Deepika's marriage, our sources revealed that it was a ruse to deflect from the fact that the wedding had already taken place.

As to why the families had kept it a secret, our source claimed that they had wished for the couple to begin their married lives together without the sure-to-be-attendant media circus, and announce their wedding to the press and public once they had had a chance to settle down. Instead of a wedding ceremony, a series of celebrations and a reception for their industry colleagues is what will be held at the end of this year.

The bride wore a simple Sabyasachi skirt and choli ensemble that was fit for the private beach where the ceremony took place while the groom wore a custom Narendra Kumar outfit -- a linen jacket teamed with churidar trousers to reflect his zany personal style. Their few guests (only 15 in all) devoured Champagne and canapes and congratulated the newlyweds.

Ranveer, Deepika and their families are yet to issue a statement about the alleged wedding or the other reports about the finalised dates, but our source shared a few photos from the ceremony, taken from a vantage point.
