Police officer flies 20 metres through the air in Brisbane hit-and-run
An officer has been sent flying 20 metres through the air after being hit by a car in Brisbane's south on Sunday, according to police.
The officer, from Road Policing Command, was hit near the intersection of Bapaume and Peronne roads in Tarragindi about 4.20pm.

Photo: SuppliedPolice said he was operating a hand-held radar when he noticed a silver 1993 Honda Civic with the registration 390XOB travelling at speed.
The officer stepped out into the road in an attempt to intercept the car, he was hit and flew through the air.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the officer suffered leg and hip injuries and was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police were investigating and hunting the driver of the Honda Civic.
