Anthony Joshua next fight: Lennox Lewis reveals major challenge for Deontay Wilder bout
BRITISH boxing legend Lennox Lewis believes a potential mega fight between Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua would be difficult for both fighters due to their usual boxing style.
Joshua moved one step closer to creating history by becoming the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world after beating Joseph Parker last night via an unanimous points decision.
The Briton now holds the WBO as well as his IBF and WBA belts with Wilder the only one standing in his way of holding all the titles.
Joshua was immediately asked about a potential fight against Wilder next, to which he promised that he would knock the American “spark out”.
The 28-year-old added that he wants the fight to happen in the UK as he doesn’t feel the need to head across the Atlantic to prove himself.
Wilder is currently 40-0 with 39 knockouts and recorded a stunning TKO win over Luis Ortiz last month.
And Lewis, the last heavyweight boxer to hold the undisputed title, believes Wilder vs Joshua would prove to be a fascinating match-up.
“The dynamics of a #JoshuaWilder fight will be quite different for BOTH fighters who are used to punching down on shorter fighters,” Lewis tweeted.
“It will be interesting to see how each adjusts.”
But the former British heavyweight champion was left impressed by Joshua’s game plan in order to get the job done against Parker, even if it wasn’t the spectacle fans were hoping for.

“I thought AJ fought a great fight,” Lewis tweeted.
“I kno fans want blood but sometimes it just not there. AJ kept proper distance 2keep JP at end of jap but out or range of JP’s jab.
“JP’s hands were faster than i thought but his game plan was too one dimensional.
“Good big un beats a good lil un!”
