International school launched

Chess Grandmaster Koneru Humpy on Saturday launched the logo of Bloomingdale International School (BIS), a new institution offering a curriculum designed to incorporate a wide variety of subjects and activities to enable students to become inquisitive, knowledgeable and caring citizens.

“Through this international school we intend to redefine educational standards with a holistic approach towards grooming children into global citizens,” said BIS CEO Subhash Atluri. The campus is coming up on a 12-acre site at Gangur on the city outskirts. The school offering International Baccalaureate programme will have facilities like modern IT, science and multi-media labs and a range of sporting and recreational amenities besides global tie-ups.

The development of the campus, Mr. Atluri said, will be a steady progress spanning into phases in the next five years
