The Special Investigating Team (SIT), set up by Delhi Police Crime Branch, on Sunday arrested two teachers and owner of a coaching centre in connection with the CBSE paper leak case, which has rattled the students across the country.

Revealing the details of the arrest, special SP crime, RP Upadhaya said that Class XII Economics exam papers were leaked in two ways - printed and handwritten.

"The two teachers, Rohit and Rishab, arrested today leaked the paper 30 minutes before the exam was due to start. They clicked the image of question papers at 09:15 am and sent it to a tutor identified as Tauqir, who runs a coaching centre in Bawana," the police official said, adding that probe for the handwritten leak was still on.

Both teachers are being questioned for the involvement of any other centre official in their scam. The three will be produced before Karkarduma district court at 1 pm.

Last night, the investigating team identifying the whistle-blower, a Class X student, who had used his father's email ID to inform CBSE Chairperson about paper leak after receiving handwritten questions for Mathematics exam through WhatsApp. The student and his father are also being questioned, the police said.

So far over 60 people, including 53 students and seven teachers, have been questioned by the crime branch team.

CBSE chairperson Anita Karwal had received an e-mail a day before the Class 10 mathematics exam, which was held on March 28, informing her about the paper being leaked.

The sender of the e-mail had stated that the mathematics paper was leaked on WhatsApp and that the exam should be cancelled.

The mail also contained 12 images of the handwritten mathematics paper allegedly leaked on WhatsApp.

In order to identify the sender of the e-mail, the police had written to Google, asking it to share the details of the e-mail ID.
