Scrap heap catches fire on Sachin-Magdalla road

Surat: There was a sudden fire in a heap of scrap and waste in an open space near Dipli village on Sachin-Magdalla road on Sunday.

Fire Brigade officials said the fire started at around 6pm and that plastic waste in huge quantity got gutted. Fire tenders from three fire stations were involved in extinguishing the fire. It took them over two hours to douse the fire. There were no casualties in the accident.
