7 things to expect on tonight's new Generation Game

Good game, good game. It’s had a long and bumpy road, but the BBC’s reboot of family favourite The Generation Game returns to our screens tonight. 

The classic gameshow hasn’t enjoyed the easiest rebirth. Graham Norton and Vernon Kay both fronted one-off revivals, while Paul O’Grady filmed two pilot episodes which were never broadcast. Another remake was announced in 2014, with Miranda Hart as host. Such fun! Until she pulled out. 

When Bake Off duo Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins declined to “follow the dough” to Channel 4 last year, they were drafted in to the helm it instead. So far, so promising. Well, until the pair filmed four episodes but the BBC decided to air only two, leading to fears...
