TJAC chairman M Kodandaram to formally announce party on April 2

HYDERABAD/KHAMMAM  : Finally, after much delay, Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman M Kodandaram is going to announce his new political party, Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS), on April 2. According to the TJAC leader, the new party got registered with Election Commission of India (ECI) on Friday. Hence, the TJAC has begun making preparations for the formal announcement of the political outfit on April 2. The party’s flag will be unfurled on April 4. 

A programme will be conducted on April 14 on the birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar and a public meeting will be held on April 29 in Hyderabad. During the public meeting, Kodandaram will explain about the agenda and objectives of Telangana Jana Samithi. The TJAC leaders have already started undertaking a campaign on social media, seeking people’s support for the new party. Against this backdrop, Kodandaram accused the state government of deceiving unemployed youth by making false promises. 

As part of holding meetings in each district to create a positive environment for the new political party, the TJAC chairman on Saturday toured across Khammam district. He launched a job mela at Kavitha Memorial Degree College in Khammam city. On the occasion, Kodandaram said people had expected that their hardships would end once Telangana state was formed, but after assuming power, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was ruling the state like a dictator and had not fulfilled any promise made to various sections of voters. He said it was very unfortunate that Telangana had stood third in the country in terms of providing jobs to the unemployed in the country.

• The TJAC sought the opinions of people on how the flag of the new political party should be and what it should reflect
• The TJAC posted three designs of flags for the new party on social media as well as messaging App, WhatsApp 
• In all the three designs, a wheel-like symbol indicating Telangana martyrs’ memorial is used at the centre of the flag, surrounded by the people of Telangana, saluting their noble sacrifices. They are followed by Telangana women playing Bathukamma
• The colour combinations proposed in the flag are white, green, sky blue, navy blue, yellow and purple
