SIDBI to assess challenges in MSME sector

Will meet stakeholders in Coimbatore, and Erode

The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) officials in Coimbatore and Erode will visit the micro and small-scale entrepreneurs and stakeholders in the MSME sector on April 2 to know more about the challenges faced by the entrepreneurs and their requirements.

Visit

Across the country, 175 SIDBI officials will visit their MSE customers covering 23 States and Union Territories in 85 districts in different clusters.

The visit will be different from the usual customer visits as the officials will spend time with them to know more about a typical day of small entrepreneurs and wherever permitted will also stay at the residence of the entrepreneurs.

Foundation Day

This is part of the Foundation Day celebrations of the bank this year.

Officials will also meet other stakeholders, understand the concerns of the entrepreneurs at the ground level, and get first-hand experience of the unit and the sector so that the same can be used effectively to devise the policies for betterment of the MSEs, a press release from SIDBI here has said.

The programme will help SIDBI build a healthy relationship with the MSEs, unlearn pre-conceptions about the sector, learn the unexplored opportunities, and facilitate generation of ideas, develop new tools, products, and delivery channels.
