Ordeal by Innocence cast: Who stars in Ordeal by Innocence?
THE murder mystery BBC drama Ordeal by Innocence starts on Sunday night and features an all-star cast, including many familiar faces, but who stars in the Agatha Christie adaptation and who replaced Ed Westwick?
Bill Nighy, Eleanor Tomlinson and Anthony Boyle are just a few of the British actors who feature in Ordeal by Innocence.
The airing date of the BBC drama had to be delayed after one of the main actors - Ed Westwick - was accused of sexual assault.
It was originally meant to be aired around Christmas, however was postponed until his scenes could be re-shot with British actor Christian Cooke filling the role.
The first episode will be broadcast at 9pm on Easter Sunday, April 1, three months after it was originally due to air, but who stars in the whodunnit?

Leo Argyll - Bill Nighy
The Love Actually star stars as the husband of murder victim Rachel Argyll.
After his wife is violently murdered he is preparing to marry his secretary Gwenda.
His is father to Rachel’s five adopted children who he loves.
Nighy’s acting career stretches across five decades and included Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter and The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

Rachel Argyll - Anna Chancellor
Rachel is the murder victim and comes from a very wealthy background.
She and her husband Leo adopted five children after they realise they can’t have biological kids.
Flashbacks reveal she wasn’t the best of mothers, as she would often feel jealous when her children had fun together without her.
Her violent death is blamed on her adopted son Jack, however a mysterious stranger arrives at Sunny Point claiming he can prove his innocence.

Jack Argyll - Anthony Boyle
Jack was found guilty of his adopted mother’s murder as his prints were found all over the murder weapon.
He dies in prison before the case can come to trial.
He is known as the troublemaker of the family and he delights in causing trouble and running rings around the authority figures.

Mickey Argyll - Christian Cooke
Mickey is close to his brother Jack, but after his adopted mother’s murder, he moves away to London.
Ed Westwick was originally cast to play the role of Mickey, but was dropped from the production after he faced sex abuse allegations.
Christian Cooke replaced him and the cast had to travel up to Scotland for scenes to be filmed again after Christmas.
Cooke is known for his roles in Witches of East End, Where the Heart Is and Cemetery Junction.

Mary Durrant - Eleanor Tomlinson
Marry Durrant is the eldest of the adopted children and the only one who is married.
She is desperate to be loved and is competitive of her mother’s affections and hates her new stepmother Gwenda.
Fans of Tomlinson may recognise her from the BBC adaption of Poldark.

Philip Durrant - Matthew Goode
Philip is married to Mary and tied the knot while her heiress mother was still alive.
A former war hero, he is left in a wheelchair after a car accident and is struggling to cope with life - becoming frustrated at his wife as he has to rely on her for care and money.
It appears he has an attraction to Mary’s younger sister Hester.

Hester Argyll - Ella Purnell
Hester is the youngest of the adopted children and has two sides - one where she acts very innocent and another more mature side she only shows to her siblings.
She has been looked after more by her sister Tina than by Rachel, however she is very close to her father.
Tina Argyll - Crystal Clarke
Tina is another of the adopted Argyll children and she works as a librarian.
She is one of the quietest of the children and is seen as the well-behaved sister.
Crystal Clarke has appeared in both of the most recent Star War films.

Dr Arthur Calgary - Luke Treadaway
Dr Arthur Calgary turns up at Sunny Point after Rachel’s death and claims he has an alibi for Jack on the night of the murder.
He enters the state in the summer 1956 and claims to havre returned from an Arctic expedition.
The Argylls are unsure what to believe and Arthur has his own guilty past he is dealing with.
Gwenda Vaughan - Alice Eve
Gwenda is the secretary to Leo Argyll and she is from a much lower class compared to Rachel.
She marries her wealthy boss and takes charge of his household, but clashes with her fiance’s adopted children, especially Mary.
The couple are planning their wedding when Dr Arthur Calgary turns up at their door.

Morven Christie - Kirsten Lindstrom
Kirsten has been the nanny and cook for the Argylls since they arrived at Sunny Point.
All of the children are fond of Kirsten, however she is not a fan of the new wife of Leo - Gwenda.
Morven Christie has starred as Alison Hughes from the autism drama The A word and last year played opposite Vicky McClure in The Replacement.
Ordeal by Innocence begins on Sunday, April at 9pm on BBC One.
